Brochure Advertising Policies for The Journal of
Reading Recovery
Advertising Acceptance
The Reading Recovery Council of North America (RRCNA) accepts
advertising from external vendors for publication in The Journal
of Reading Recovery with priority given to advertising
consistent with the teaching of Reading Recovery children. RRCNA
reserves the right to approve, reject, and/or recommend needed
changes to advertising submitted.
Advertising pages will be reviewed by the editor-in-chief. Any
advertising that contains text or design elements that have an
editorial appearance will be clearly identified with the word
“Advertisement.”
Advertiser’s Responsibility
Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all
advertising content submitted (text, representation, and
illustrations) and for claims against the publisher arising from
publication in The Journal of Reading Recovery. RRCNA shall
not be liable for costs or damages if it fails to publish an
advertisement.
Deadlines and Mechanical Requirements
Artwork that meets technical specifications must be received by
the copy due date. If artwork is not received by the deadline, the
advertiser will be responsible for all reserved ad space fees and
applicable charges. Artwork submitted incorrectly will be returned
for correction to the advertiser at the advertiser’s expense. RRCNA
will not be responsible for making corrections to artwork. RRCNA
will not be responsible for reproduction quality if ad material
fails to conform to stated mechanical requirements. Materials will
not be returned unless specifically requested in advance.
Complimentary Copies
Two complimentary copies are sent to the advertiser contact when
the issue is published.
Orders, Changes, and Cancellations
Advertisers are invoiced during the month of the publication
release. Accounts are payable 30 days net. Ads will not be run for
advertisers with accounts over 90 days delinquent. First-time
advertisers are required to pay
in advance.
Written instructions are required for
insertion orders and cancellations. RRCNA will send confirmation
of receipt for all orders. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to
confirm receipt of changes and cancellations. No cancellations will
be accepted after the closing date.
